game opening pitch was thrown by Drew
Blane of the Bloomingdale Patriots from
Illinois
A week prior to making the trip to
Cooperstown, Drew was struck in the face
by a line drive while competing in a local
baseball game in Illinois. It was not
until five minutes from Cooperstown Dreams
Park that a serious injury surfaced,
causing massive bleeding from his nose. He
was rushed to the local Cooperstown
hospital and underwent nose surgery
Tuesday morning. He was unable to compete
all week. bud did get to throw out the
opening pitch for the championship game to
his father and coach, Mike Blane.

Fresno Blue Devils:
Vinny Zazueta was hit by a pitch. Billy
Bejeckian grounded out to the first
basemen with Zazueta advancing to second
base. Jimmy Stollar flied out to
leftfield. Graham Haught struck out
swinging. Total: no runs, no hits, no
errors and one left on base.
Central Jersey Patriots:
Travis Zilg reached first on an error
by the shortstop. Zilg stole second base
and then was picked off. Jesse Ross
doubled to left. Ross advanced to third on
a passed ball. Christian Spurr hammerd a
two-run home run to centerfield. Jason
Knapp grounded out third to first. Adam
Bergman flied out to centerfield. Total:
two runs, two hits, one error and no men
left on base.
Second
Inning:
Fresno Blue Devils: Nick White led
off with a home run to centerfield. Danny
Flores grounded out second to first. Will
Gleason grounded out second to first. Liam
Hall pops out to the pitcher. Total: one
run, one hit, no errors and no men left on
base.
Central Jersey Patriots:
Chris Skoda struck out on a called
third strike. Bennie Howard strruck out on
a called third strike. Jeff Green grounded
out second to first for the final out.
Total: no runs, no hits, no errors and
none left on base.

Inning:
Fresno Blue Devils:
Jordan Rutledge struck out on a called
third stikre. Vinny Zazueta walked. Billy
Bejeckian struck out swinging with Zazueta
stealing second. Bejeckian stole third
base. Jeff Green entered the game to pitch
for Central Jersey. Jimmy Stollar struck
out swinging. Total: no runs, no hits, no
errors & one man left on base.
Central Jersey Patriots:
Jared Rogers struck out swinging.
Michael Hansford struck out swinging.
Travis Zilg blasted a solo home run to
centerfield. Jesse Ross struck out
swinging. Total: one run, one hit, no
errors & no one left on base.
Fourth Inning:
Fresno Blue Devils: Graham Haught
grounded out second to first. Nick White
walked. Danny Flores flied out to right
field. Nick White was thrown out stealing.

Dave Hammonds singled and picked up the
rbi when Bergman scored. Jeff Green
singled which advanced Hammonds to third
base but Green was thrown out trying to

the Fresno shortstop. Rogers stole second.
Mike Hansford struck out but was safe at
first when the ball got passed the catcher
with Rogers goint to third. Graham Haught
came in to pitch for Fresno. Travis Zilg
struck out swinging while Hansford stole
second. Jesse Ross walked. Christian Spurr
struck out on a called third strike. Jason
Knapp singled which scored Rogers and
Hansford scored on error. Ross to third.
Knapp to 2nd. Vinny Zazueta now pitching
for Fresno. Adam Bergman grounded out
second to first for the final out. Total:
