Drew Hardee played
at Cooperstown Dreams Park in 2003 (Week
3). As a member of the Piedmont Patriots
(SC), Drew helped lead his team to the
Sweet Sixteen. The Patriots won an
amazing four games in one day during
tournament play and were coached by Johnny
Elliot.
Drew was a 2009 graduate of Northwestern
High School (Rock Hill, SC). He graduated
with honors as well as a member of Key,
Beta and Young Life clubs. Drew's
baseball game took off in high school. He
was named All-State in 2009 after being a
part of a Trojan team that posted a 22-5
record. As a member of the American
Legion Post 34 team, Drew was named to the
All-Tournament team back-to-back summers
in 2008 and 2009.
Drew continued his baseball career at the
collegiate level. He spent his freshman
year (2010) at Coker College (Hartsville,
SC). An outfielder, he had a team-high 18
stolen bases and posted a .288 BA with 38
hits, including 7 doubles. He transferred
to Florence-Darlington Technical College
(Florence, SC) where he played his
sophomore season (2011). At
Florence-Darlington, Drew was a first-team
All-Conference selection as an outfielder
and ranked in the top 20 nationally with
34 stolen bases, while batting .421 with
one home run. Drew will spend his junior
season (2012) at Winthrop University (Rock
Hill, SC).
