Andrew Fatse
competed at Cooperstown Dreams Park three
times with the Hampden Dodgers (MA)
between the years of 1999 and 2001. Each
year was during week 5.
Andrew graduated from Minnechaug Regional
High School (Wilbraham, MA) where he was a
member of the baseball team. After his
high school graduation, Andrew continued
his education and baseball career at
Western New England College (Springfield,
MA).
During his freshman season at Western New
England College (2008), Andrew played in
12 games, starting four of them. He
finished the season with a .346 BA,
including nine hits and two doubles. He
was named to the 2009 ABCA All-America
Second Team.
In his sophomore year (2009), Andrew led
all batters with a .420 BA, starting all
47 games, collecting 68 hits, 44 runs, and
68 RBI as well as recording a .946
fielding percentage. Andrew received such
accolades as TCCC Player-of-the-Week (May
4), All-TCCC First Team, All-NEIBA
Division III First Team, ECAC Division III
New England All-Star First Team,
d3baseball.com Division III All-America
Third Team, and ABCA Rawlings NCAA
Division III All-American Second Team.
Andrew's junior season (2010) stats
included .333 BA on 46 starts, 53 hits and
a .978 fielding percentage. The team
finished 34-12. In June, 2010, Andrew
signed a 10-day contract with the Holyoke
Blue Sox. The Blue Sox is a member of the
New England Collegiate Baseball
League.
Andrew and the Golden Bears of Western New
England had a successful season during his
senior year (2011). A captain, Andrew led
the team in stolen bases with 27 out of 29
attempts. He recorded a .342 BA on 52
starts, 66 hits .981 fielding percentage.
Andrew was the Commonwealth Coast
Conference (TCCC) Baseball
Player-of-the-Week on March 28th and then
again May 2nd. The Golden Bears had their
best season in history with a 42-11
record, winning the New England Regional
championship, and making their first
appearance at the NCAA Division III World
Series.
