David Peterson

David Peterson competed at Cooperstown Dreams Park with the Highlands Ranch Rangers (CO) during Tournament 3 in 2008.

David graduated from Regis Jesuit High School (Aurora, CO) where he was a four-year letterman on the diamond. Captain his senior season, he earned first-team All-Continental League honors. David’s high school accolades also included first-team all-league as a freshman, sophomore and junior and all-state honorable mention. Despite being selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, the ace pitcher decided to continue his education and baseball career at University of Oregon (Eugene, OR).

Throughout his collegiate tenure, David earned the following honors: ABCA first-team All-America, Collegiate Baseball first-team All-America, D1Baseball first-team All-America, NCBWA first-team All-America, Perfect Game first-team All-America, Baseball America third-team All-America, First-team All-Pac-12 Conference, Golden Spikes Award semifinalist, and Dick Howser Trophy semifinalist.

David was drafted by the New York Mets in the 2017 Major League Baseball draft. He made his Major League debut on July 28, 2020. David helped the Mets reach the 2024 National League Championship Series where they fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers in six games.
