Kaleb Cowart
competed at Cooperstown Dreams Park in
2004 during week 7 with the Tallahassee
Tomahawks (FL). In 2010, Kaleb was a first
round draft pick in Major League
Baseball's amateur draft. He was chosen
18th by the Los Angeles Angels of
Anaheim.
A 2010 graduate of Cook High School (Adel,
GA), Kaleb posted incredible numbers on
the field. His .654 BA was second highest
in state history. He had 11 homers, 59 RBI
and 36 steals without getting caught. On
the mound, Kaleb was 10-1 with a 1.05 ERA
with 116 strikeouts in 73 innings. Kaleb,
who previously signed to play baseball at
Florida State University (Tallahassee,
FL), was named the 2009-10 Gatordae
National Baseball Player of the Year.
Kaleb began his professional baseball
career in 2010 with the Rookie League's
Arizona Angels. He continues to compete at
the Minor League level within the Los
Angeles Angels of Anaheim system, playing
for the Orem Owlz (Orem, UT) since
2010.
