Andrew Florides

Andrew Florides and the NY Bulldogs (NY) competed at Cooperstown Dreams Park in 2007 during Week 10. Andrew and his team clinched the Around the Horn title that week. He enjoyed trading pins and meeting so many nice people.

Andrew graduated from Holy Cross High School (Flushing, NY) where he was a member of the baseball and football teams as well as National Honor Society. In March of 2012, Andrew broke his arm. Thinking his baseball career was done but desperately wanted to return to the diamond, Andrew worked hard all summer with physical therapy, he was able to return to the game. He resumed his career for his 2013 senior high school season. Through his excellent academic record (nearly a 100% average) and baseball abilities, Andrew received a full scholarship from Division I New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) to attend and play baseball.

Despite his plans to play at the collegiate level, Andrew would not continue his academic and baseball careers at NYIT. Immediately following his high school graduation, Andrew was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2013 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft. The short stop signed with the Blue Jays and is now a professional baseball player.
