Tyler Beede

Tyler Beede and the Central Massachusetts Renegades (MA) competed at Cooperstown Dreams Park in 2006 during the National American Tournament of Champions.

After playing at Cooperstown Dreams Park, Tyler went on to make the varsity baseball team at Auburn High School (Auburn, MA) as a freshman (2008). A right-handed pitcher, Tyler was one of the top pitchers in the state his sophomore year (2009). He went 7-1 with 114 strikeouts in 56.1 innings pitched. He led his team, which finished with an 18-2 regular season record, to a Division 2 state title. Tyler helped his 16U AAU baseball team to the national wood bat championship that summer and competed at the Area Code Games in Long Beach, CA.

Prior to his junior year of high school, Tyler transferred to Lawrence Academy (Groton, MA). Playing at a higher level in the Independent School League (ISL), Tyler, who was also tight end on the football team, threw for a 6-1 record, 87 strikeouts in 45.1 innings pitched and a 1.08 ERA his junior season (2010). He was named an AFLAC All-American that year. His senior year (2011), Tyler was 8-0 with 102 strikeouts in 51 innings pitched, a perfect game, and a 0.69 ERA. At the plate, he was the lead-off batter, hitting .481 with 15 RBI, 24 walks and 4 home runs. Tyler's accolades include All-League team, ISL MVP and Pitcher of the Year, and Globe All-Scholastic.

Tyler, who committed to playing baseball at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN), was selected 21st overall in the 2011 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. Tyler decided to play at the collegiate level at Vanderbilt University, competing his freshman year in 2012. He was named to All-Tournament Team at Raleigh Regional.
