Ian Anderson

Ian Anderson played twice at Cooperstown Dreams Park with the Clifton Park Knights (NY). The first was week 3 in 2009 and the second was week 4 in 2011. During his second week, Ian and the Knights reached the championship game where they fell to the East Cobb Titans (GA), 5-2.

 

Ian, a pitcher, played baseball at Shenendehowa High School (Clifton Park, NY) where he graduated in 2016. During his junior year (2015), Ian went 6-1 with a 0.66 ERA and 91 strikeouts.  He followed up his junior season by playing in the Perfect Game All-American Classic and also with the 18U National Team that won the World Cup. Ian ended his high school career by helping his team clinch the Class AA State championship.

 

Prior to the 2016 Major League Baseball draft, Ian committed to attending and playing baseball at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN). Ian made the decision to not attend college when he was chosen by the Atlanta Braves as the third overall pick in the 2016 draft. He then helped the Atlanta Braves win the 2021 World Series againt the Houston Astros.
