Nathaniel (Nate) Bayuk competed at Cooperstown Dreams Park during week 9 in 2000 with the Frozen Ropes Tides (MA) and week 9 in 2001 with the Foxboro Warriors (MA). He returned in during week 8 in 2006 and week 11 in 2007 to coach the Foxboro Warriors (MA) and Foxboro (MA), respectively. Nate's Cooperstown Dreams Park memories include pitching a 2-hitter against Southtown in the single-elimination tournament to earn the victory. He also batted .500, including 11 RBI, contributing to 5 team victories for the week. The best memory Nate has in participating at Cooperstown Dreams Park is being inducted into the American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame and having the opportunity to come back as a coach two times to receive four coveted Hall of Fame rings.
Nate, who is a left-handed pitcher, continued his baseball career throughout high school for Xaverian Brothers High School (Westwood, MA). His individual pitching record includes a 5-3 record with a 1.61 ERA, while striking out 61 batters in only 64.1 innings of work. His overall high school pitching record is 15-6. Nate helped Xaverian win the Catholic Conference Championship in 2007. He was named team MVP twice (junior and senior) and was a three-time Catholic Conference All-Star (sophomore, junior and senior). Additional accolades include Daily News Transcript All-Scholastic honors (3 times), named to the Boston Herald All Scholastic team twice, an Under Amour All American (senior), and selected to Perfect Game's Northeast Top Prospect Games.
Nate made the jump to the college level after his high school graduation, playing for Boston College (Chestnut Hill, MA). As a freshman (2008), Nate appeared in one game on the mound. During his redshirt freshmen year (2009), Nate became a key part of the bullpen. According to his college profile, Nate led the team with 32 appearances, finished the season with a 3.14 ERA, worked 14.1 innings and allowed five runs on 15 hits, struck out 13 batters and walked nine, only allowed two extra base hits (both doubles), inherited 48 runners on the season and only allowed 14 to score, and did not allow a run in his first 15 appearances of the season, a total of 6.2 innings. Unfortunately, Nate suffered an injury during his sophomore season (2010). He was able to make 7 appearances on the mound. Nate finished with a 3.86 ERA in 4.2 innings of work. He came back for his junior season (2011), making 23 appearances, including 4 starts. Nate went 4-4 with a 5.82 ERA in 60.1 innings, the second most on the team. He completed his collegiate career in 2012 by leading all relievers with a 2.76 ERA, second on the team with 23 appearances, fourth in strikeouts (34), and compiled a 3-2 record, pitching 32.2 innings.
Nate graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications from the College of Arts and Sciences at Boston College in 2011 and continued his education by pursuing a master's degree in administrative studies.
