Lance McCullers and the Tampa Cobras (FL) competed at Cooperstown Dreams Park during Week 1 in 2004.

Lance graduated from Jesuit High School (Tampa, FL) where he dominated on the mound. He was named 2012 Gatorade National Baseball Player of the Year. Lance entered the 2012 Major League Baseball Amateur draft and was selected by the Houston Astros.

Lance made his major league debut on May 18, 2015. He was selected as an All-Star in 2017. Lance has made three trips to the World Series with the Astros, falling to the Atlanta Braves in 2021 while clinching 2017 against the Los Angeles Dodgers and 2022 over the Philadelphia Phillies.
