Blake Philbrook was a member of the 1999 Glendale Knights (CA). Blake competed at Cooperstown Dreams Park with the Knights during Week 10. The number one seed heading into the single-elimination tournament, Blake and his team reached the championship game and took home of the title, defeating sixth-seeded North County Flame (CA), 8-5.

Blake continued playing baseball throughout high school. He graduated from Verdugo Hills High School (Tujunga, CA) in 2005. An outfielder and pitcher on the varsity baseball team, Blake helped his team to a 13-9 record, reaching the semi-finals of the CIF L.A. City Section Invitational during his senior year. His stats on the mound include a 2.40 ERA, 5 wins, 2 complete games, and 81 strikeouts.
