Tyler Carpenter competed two times at Cooperstown Dreams Park; the first in 2002 during Week 1 with Wills Park Knights (GA) and the second with Wills Park Tornadoes (GA) during Week 4 in 2004. Tyler loved his time at Cooperstown Dreams Park, returning with his dad in 2005 to watch games and look around.
Tyler's baseball career continued at Milton High School (Alpharetta, GA) where he received the following accolades: Pitcher of the Year, All Region Pitcher, All Region Tournament team and a baseball scholarship to Columbus State University (Columbus, GA). After attending and playing baseball for two seasons at Columbus State University, the right handed pitcher transferred to another college to continue is education and baseball career. Tyler, whose activities include volunteering with the Special Olympics, spent his final two collegiate seasons on the mound at Georgia Gwinnett College (Lawrenceville, GA). During his senior year (2014), he was named a first-team All-Association of Independent Institutions and an honorable mention selection on the 2014 NAIA Baseball All-America team.
During Major League Baseball's 2014 Amateur draft, Tyler was picked in the 25th round by the Los Angeles Angels. He played advanced rookie in 2014 with the Orem Owlz (Orem, UT). In 2015, Tyler's minor league career continued with the Burlington Bees (Burlington, IA).
