In 2002, John Anderson traveled to Cooperstown Dreams Park for week 2 competition with the KWBA All Stars (IL), hitting six home runs. John returned to Cooperstown Dreams Park in 2010, coaching the KWBA Bulldogs (IL) during week 4.

Following his participation at Cooperstown Dreams Park, John attended and graduated from New Trier High School (Winnetka, IL). He was a member of his high school's baseball, basketball and chess teams. An honor roll student, John's other activities included assisting with rehabilitating mentally damaged dolphins, a sky diving instructor, and the school's mascot.

Upon high graduation, John continued his education at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN) where he's active in softball, billiards and darts. A Rhodes Scholar and Dean's List student, John is a studio musician who was fortunate to meet Taylor Swift and play at the Grand Ole Opry. John is also an active volunteer at his local soup kitchen.
