Cody White

Cody White competed at Cooperstown Dreams Park with the Oakland Lakes Hurricanes (MI) during Week 4 in 2011. Cody began the tournament with a lead-off homerun on the second pitch. He also made a leaping catch at the fence during the week.

Cody attended and graduated from Walled Lake Western High School (Walled Lake, MI) where he played football, basketball, baseball, and track. Cody’s accolades include 2016 Michigan Mr. Football, two-time All-State for Football, Football Dream Team, three-time All-Academic Basketball Team, two-time All-Conference Basketball, All-Conference centerfielder, two-time City High Jump champion, and National Honor Society.

Cody continued his education and football career at Michigan State University (East Lansing, MI). He was a three-year letter winner for the Spartans, playing in 35 career games with 26 starts. During his freshman year, he was named to the Big Ten Network All Freshman team and set MSU’s true freshman record for receiving yards. Cody led the team in receiving yards his sophomore season, being one of 44 players in history with 1,000 receiving yards. He finished his career ranked seventh in MSU history with 143 receptions, 12th with 1,967 receiving yards and tied for 16th with 12 touchdown catches. Cody’s 4.1 receptions per game rank seventh in MSU history, compiled 2,115 all-purpose yards (1,967 receiving; 85 punt return; 63 rushing), and had five career 100-yard receiving outings. Cody decided to forego his senior year at Michigan State and entered the 2020 NFL Draft. He was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs but was later acquired by the Pittsburgh Steelers and signed to their practice squad. Cody was signed to the Steelers active roster week 3 of the 2021 season and played the remainder of the games.
