Mallex Smith and the Tallahassee Titans (FL) won the Week 7 championship at Cooperstown Dreams Park in 2005.
Mallex graduated from James S. Rickards High School (Tallahassee, FL) where he played football and baseball. He committed to and played baseball at Santa Fe College (Gainesville, FL).
Mallex was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 2013 Major League Amateur Draft. He was traded to the Atlanta Braves organization prior to the start of the 2014 season. Mallex made is major league debut with the Braves on April 11, 2016. In 2017 the outfielder was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays. In 2018, Mallex was traded to the Seattle Mariners, his current team.
