Kyle Wright competed at Cooperstown Dreams Park with the Viper Baseball Academy (AL) during week 3 in 2008, helping his team to the Final Four.

Kyle continued his career on the diamond at Buckhorn High School (New Market, AL) where he graduated in 2014. He lettered four years in baseball and one in track. During the 2012 season, the team won area championship and advanced to the third round of the playoffs. Kyle’s accolades include All-State in 2012 as a utility player and Huntsville Times MVP, 2013 North-South All-Star Game MVP, and All-State 3B and All-Tennessee Valley 3B in 2014. Prior to graduating, Kyle committed to attend and play at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN).

A pitcher, Kyle threw for Vanderbilt from 2015 to 2017. During his freshman season, his team reached the title game of the College World Series when the team finished runner-up. Kyle was second-team All-SEC as a sophomore (2016) and first-team All-SEC as a junior (2017). Kyle made the decision not to play his senior as he was the 5th overall pick by the Atlanta Braves in the 2017 Major League Baseball draft.

Kyle made his major league debut on the mound on September 4, 2018. Three seasons into his professional career, Kyle helped the Atlanta Braves clinch the 2021 World Series against the Houston Astros.
